'The fastest EV charger in Belgium' is located on the Park H site in Hasselt!
Amano Europe is taking 11 brand new charging points for electric vehicles into use today at the Park H experience park of operator be•at. The 'fastest charger in Belgium' with a capacity of 400 kW is also located on the site. The green electricity is supplied by the solar park of Park H.
The new charging facilities for electric vehicles on the Park H site have officially been put into operation. Drivers of electric cars can now comfortably charge their car during a visit to one of the partners on the entertainment site Park H. There are 10 AC charging points with a power of 22 kW.
Super-fast charging
In addition to the AC chargers the Park H site also contains 1 DC charging point with a power of 400 kW. You can not only just charge your electric car there, but it can also be done at high speed.
In theory, you can charge up to 100 kilometers in 5 minutes with the super-fast charging station and even 350 kilometers in 10 minutes. And you charge with guaranteed green electricity generated by Park H's solar park.
Fully integrated into the parking system
Park H is joining forces with Amano Europe for this project. Our Smart Park solutions allow the existing parking installation to be expanded with charging facilities. The fully integrated solution is unique, whereby parking and charging can be managed from the same platform.
A subscription or charging card is not necessary, because charging can also be done with a credit card and thanks to the 1 hour free parking there are no extra parking costs.
Future proof
Bert Peirsman, CEO of Amano Europe: “Amano and Park H expect battery sizes and charging speeds to increase further in the future and have therefore already opted for a charging point that fits the next generation of cars.
“The DC charging point has a maximum capacity of 400 kW. It is unlikely that this power can be fully utilized by the vast majority of electric cars on the market today. When this is the case, we are certainly ready for the future. In the meantime, the current electric models can of course charge at the fast charger, albeit at a reduced capacity, depending on the specifications of the vehicle.”

Marc Schepers, mobility councillor in Hasselt, is very pleased with the arrival of the fastest charging station in his city. “Electric mobility is becoming increasingly important, also in our city. That is why we are already fully committed to expanding our public charging infrastructure.” The arrival of these additional charging stations therefore fits perfectly into the councillors’ policy plans. “All the more so because they will be given a place at Park H, a place that we are currently developing into the peripheral car park of Hasselt.”
Schepers is of course also convinced of the many advantages of fast charging. “Innovation in speed is at least as important as expanding the number of charging points. Because the more cars can be served via 1 point, the fewer charging points are needed. This means that fewer investments are required and that there is less impact on the public domain. Smart and fast, that must be the charging station of the future!”
