Populierenhof site at Turkyen in Nieuwkerken

The new Populierenhof care site consists of 4 pavilions around two squares and houses a residential care center, service center, assisted living flats, day care and after-school childcare. The 4 small-scale green buildings enhance the village-like and green character of Nieuwkerken.
Parking is underground under the first and second pavilions. There are 72 parking spaces for cars and plenty of space for bicycles. Amano supplied the parking installation and the parking management system for the access of visitors, staff and suppliers.

Central server
The Populierenhof is part of the Zorgpunt Waasland group and is 1 of the 3 sites equipped with an Amano Xparc parking installation. The software for these systems is centrally located on 1 server, but each site can manage its parking locally. Due to the concept of a central server, the costs for service and maintenance are kept to a minimum.

Social aspect
In consultation with the various parties, it has also been made possible for parents who bring/pick up their children to the school to easily park for a short time on this care site.
